Diamond Hill

This site is located near Abbeville, South Carolina and features plentiful skeletal quartz crystal plates & smoky quartz crystal plates. On occasion small on up to very large amethyst crystals are found, but in general amethyst is consider rare at this location.
This site is great for folks who are new to collecting, as the sheer volume of quartz crystals make for easy pickings. Here, even with zero skill level, you’ll find
lots crystals to take home.
The amethyst pit affords the opportunity for strong advanced diggers to move lots of rock and work the veins, hoping to find an area with amethyst crystal overgrowths atop the skeletal plates.
